Losing Hair after having a baby

Scalp Care to Combat Your New Mum Hair My little man is now 2! I couldn’t do without this range for the first 2 years!

The Semi Di Lino Energising scalp range has been great to promote growth after the post-baby hair loss.

Having a new baby can be excruciating on your hair. During gestation you don’t lose any of your hair so about 12 weeks after you have your baby you start losing the hair you would have during the gestation period. This is why you think you are losing all your hair after a baby!

After having a baby you get a lot of new hair which can make your scalp oily. I use the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Gentle Exfoliating Scrub on my hairline to combat the oiliness in my hair.

I follow that with an energising shampoo to stimulate the hair follicle to make the hair grow. The Alfaparf Energising range is amazing for any new mums’ hair.

Next, I use the calming tonic to relieve any flaky scalp areas, especially at the hairline. On the rest of my hair I use an energising tonic to stimulate the hair follicles before I blowdry the hair.

When I started to lose my hair I used the Alfaparf Semi Di Lino Scalp Renew Energising Lotion to encourage your hair to grow.

There are also great shampoos in the range specified for oily scalp or itchy scalp.

The balancing Shampoo is good for anyone with overactive sebaceous glands.

The Purifying Shampoo is great for flaky scalp, make sure you leave the second shampoo on for a few minutes and it lifts off any scalp flakes or residue.

I use the Calming shampoo between the energising shampoo to help soothe itchy or tight scalp when the new hair growth is happening.
