Spotlight on Brides : Orla Hahessy
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I met Orla many years ago and she’s been one of my models for my European and world championship competition work. We’ve had many changes with Orla’s hair as we went from photographic work to the competition floor sometimes only a few weeks in between, so Orla knows the importance of keeping her hair in tip top condition.
Our plan for Orla’s wedding started a year and half before the big day. We started growing her hair and giving it regular treatments as well as Orla’s home-care regime using Alfaparf diamond shine shampoo and mask.
We coloured Orla’s hair a deep rich chocolate brunette and had regular trims to keep split ends away.
Orla wanted a soft natural curl in her hair with textured pieces framing the style.
We did two trials several months before the wedding as I knew then what I was going to have to work with in terms of hair length, we already decided that we would be using 2 hair extensions to bulk up the volume and add length.
On the day we started early, prepped and curled Orla’s hair using a wand. I then upstyled all Orla’s bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid Lauren to compliment the bride’s look and the girls’ individual style.
I then upstyled Orla’s hair and placed a hairband at the front, the result was a soft but structured curl reflecting the style of the bride as well as complimenting Orla’s dress.
