Beauty Works carries a range of Hair Extensions to suit your individual needs and you will definitely find a perfect match with their selection of colours.

But which type of extension is best for you? Our trained stylists are best to advise you in the type of extension that will give you the result you want.

This is just a few tips to help you understand the different types of Beauty Works extensions we offer in the salon.

Keratin Bond Extension:

• This is the most popular type of extension as it lasts up to 5 months but with good, aftercare you may even get longer
• No glue  is used to attach the extension and your hair is protected in a keratin casing which is gentler on your hair
• Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner advised with a mask once a week to keep the extensions conditioned
• Recommended to be shampooed 2-3 times per week and brush before washing.
• The bonds need to be dried after shampooing but ends can left dry naturally
• Heat can be used for styling but excessive use will reduce the life of the extensions
• These extensions need to be removed professionally

Weft Extensions:

• Extensions refitted every 6 weeks
• Extensions can be used for up to 9 months if cared for properly
• Hair can be shampooed with sulfate shampoo and conditioners
• Weft extensions must be dried after shampooing but ends can left dry naturally

Nano Ring Extensions:

• This extension doesn’t require heat or glue so is gentler and less damaging to your hair than other types
• Extensions refitted every 3 months
• Extensions can be used for up to 9 months if cared for properly
• Heat can be used for styling but excessive use will reduce the life of the extensions
• Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner advised
• Mask should be used once a week to condition the extensions

Tape Extensions:

• Suitable for all hair types but fine hair can see amazing results
• Extensions refitted every 4-6 weeks
• Extensions can be used for up to 9 months if cared for properly
• Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner advised
• Mask should be used once a week to condition the extensions
• The tape needs to be dried after shampooing but ends can left dry naturally
• Recommended to be shampoo 2-3 times per week and brush before shampooing

Hair Contour Extensions:

• These extensions are great for trying out a new colour without new commitment by using the techniques of makeup contouring
• Extensions refitted every 4-6 weeks
• Extensions can be used for up to 9 months if cared for properly
• Sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner advised
• Mask should be used once a week to condition the extensions
• The tape needs to be dried after shampooing but ends can left dry naturally
• Recommended to be shampoo 2-3 times per week and brush before shampooing
